Chicago, IL (www.geoffPinkus.com)
April 27, 2010 – Chicago talk radio host Geoff Pinkus, today officially announces
the availability of the new “PINKER” blend cigar from Gurkha Cigars of Miami
Florida (www.gurkhacigars.com). Several years ago, Geoff Pinkus was nicknamed
“The Pinker” by fellow AM560 WIND talk show host, Big John
Howell and so he naturally wanted a cigar with the same
name.

When Pinkus pursued a private label cigar line, he found a
great connection with Gurkha Cigars.
Through his collaboration with Gurkha founder and cigar master Kaizad
Hansotia, they formulated the new Gurkha “PINKER” – blended in a style suitable
to Pinkus as a very flavorful, medium to full bodied cigar. The “PINKER” cigar is currently available in
one size, a 6 by 60, which is among the largest of standard cigar sizes, sometimes
called a Double Toro or a Toro Gordo.
The size 6 by 60 implies 6 inches long and 60/64ths of an
inch in diameter. A cigar of that size
is designed to be a long lasting and flavorful smoking experience.
Gurkha Cigars, advertised as “The World's Finest Cigars,” are
respected throughout the cigar industry as a premium brand and are considered
by many to be the “Rolls Royce” of cigar brands. Pinkus found this to connect well with his
radio show, LIVIN LARGE with Geoff Pinkus, which covers cigars and luxury
items, described by Pinkus as “everything to do with the good life.” According to Pinkus, “I didn’t want to
associate myself with an unknown cigar that had my picture on it and was seen
as a novelty. I wanted to offer people a
high quality cigar that they would want to smoke again and again. Everything about Gurkha is ‘first class,’
from the packaging to the beautiful embossed rings on the cigars to the quality
of the tobacco.” After smoking one of the
first cigars to arrive, Pinkus explained, “That’s exactly what I wanted -- a
cigar that’s a good size, that tastes great and burns evenly -- I couldn’t be
happier with the result.”
The cigar is available at cigar shops, restaurants, golf
courses and private clubs all over the Chicagoland area and also on a soon to
be launched website: www.thePinker.com
To promote awareness of the new Gurkha PINKER, Pinkus has
begun a promotional cigar road show, humorously named his “Puffin on The Pinker”
tour that will feature Smoking Events at various cigar shops and
restaurants. The schedule of events can
be found here: www.geoffpinkus.com/events
